🇭🇹 52 Years In The Making

The Road To 2026

After 52 years away, Haiti's Grenadiers returned to the FIFA World Cup in 2026. This is the story of how we got there — and what we did once we arrived.

Qualification

Haiti's road to the 2026 World Cup came down to the final matchday of Concacaf qualifying. On November 18, 2025, in Willemstad, Curaçao, goals from Don Deedson Louicius and Ruben Providence secured a 2-0 win over Nicaragua — clinching Haiti's first World Cup qualification since 1974.

The Tournament

At the tournament itself, Haiti faced Morocco in the group stage. In the 43rd minute, Wilson Isidor curled home a stunning strike that was later voted the 3rd best goal of the entire 2026 FIFA World Cup by fans worldwide — a fitting moment for a team writing a new chapter after more than five decades away.
